1. Structural Detailer
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed drawings, floor plans, and diagrams of structural components using AutoCAD, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.
- Understand the company’s Hybrid Composite Steel Technology & interpret the column, beam & slab designs.
- Develop 3D models of structural elements and systems to ensure accurate representation and coordination between different disciplines.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, design intent, and any necessary modifications.
- Assist in the estimation of material quantities required for fabrication & construction, helping with procurement and cost analysis.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for fabrication of structural elements and also prepare bill of materials for the same.
- Review and cross-check drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency to avoid errors and discrepancies during fabrication & construction.
- Effectively communicate with project team members to address design issues, modifications, and updates in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, models, revisions, and other project-related documents.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new software tools, and techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience of 6-10 years as a structural detailer, drafter, or similar role is highly desirable, especially in the construction or manufacturing industry and in PEB works, Steel works, RCC works of buildings & bridges.
- Proficient in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures) for creating detailed drawings and 3D models. AutoCAD is must.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret and translate design concepts into detailed drawings.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for calculating dimensions, quantities, and other measurements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving design and coordination issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet project deadlines.
